VALENCIA FALLAS – FULL DAY TRIP – MARCH 18TH 2013

On Monday March 18th, we will go to Valencia – very early departure in order to enjoy a full day admiring the many painted statues throughout the city, and at 2 pm, the “mascletá”, an amazing fireworks display in the centre of town.

JUMILLA Wine Tour

Jumilla Wine Tour

On April 18th 2013, Dragontours is planning a trip to the wineries in Jumilla.  After our early – 9 am – departure, we cross the province of Murcia into the north west, and arrive in Jumilla. The vinyards are becoming green and lush, and we will visit two different wineries with different outlooks.  Going back to the city of Jumilla, and if there is time, we can have a look at the Archaeological  Museum or take a stroll through the streets of this lovely town. We will also fit in a visit to a very interesting ecological farm, where among other activities, excellent olive oil is made.

Then there will be free time for lunch (not included) for everybody at one of the many bars or restaurants in town.

After lunch, and on our way back, we will have a visit to, providing the weather is fine,  the Franciscan monastery overlooking the city. Our return to Mazarrón will be at approximately 6:30 – 7 pm. Price is just 32€ per person.

THE WINE HORSE FESTIVAL OF CARAVACA

CARAVACA WINE HORSE FESTIVAL ” LOS CABALLOS DEL VINO” – MAY 2ND 2013

Just as on every year, this year we will go to Caravaca de la Cruz, to enjoy their annual Wine Horse festival.  Not only is Caravaca a holy city, where according to legend a piece of the “True Cross” is guarded in the Church, the city also has one of the most popular and beautiful festivals. Horses are dressed in embroidered finery, paraded through the town, and finally, compete against one another in a race to the castle.

A day full of imagination and emotions. Only 19€ per person.

Tabarca Island

On June 6th, Dragontours will go to Tabarca Island, a very small island off the coast of Alicante. Our tour starts with a coach from the Mazarrón area, with several pick-up points, to the boat which will carry us to the island. There you can spend a day on the beach (there are lounge chairs and umbrellas for rent), or snorkling – the island is a world heritage underwater site. There are also numerous bars and restaurants on the island. In the afternoon, we return to our coach by boat, then back to the point of departure. Coach trip including the return boat trip.

El 6  de Junio, Dragontours hace un viaje hasta la Isla de Tabarca, una isla diminuta cerca de Alicante. Nuestro viaje comienza en la zona de Mazarrón, hay varios puntos de salida, y nos lleva hasta el barco que nos lleva hasta la isla. Allí se puede tumbar en la playa (alquilan tumbonas y sombrillas), hacer “snorkle”, ya que la isla es zona protegida de la UNESCO. También hay una gran variedad de bares y restaurantes.

Por la tarde, volvemos en el barco, y luego el autocar, hasta el punto de partida. El viaje incluye transporte en autocar y en barco ida y vuelta.

SUPER SALES SHOPPING – THURSDAY JANUARY 10TH 2013

Our super shopping day on Thursday, January 10th, will take us from the Port of Mazarrón – Bolnuevo – Camposol and other pick-up points, to the three major shopping centres in Murcia. We will depart this area at 9:30h in the morning, and our first stop will be Ikea and the Thader Commercial Centre. At 2 pm, we move on to the New Condominium Centre.  There are miles of shops, including many favourites, like Primark, H&M, C&A, Zara and Zara Homes, Springfield, Leroy Merlin…. the list goes on. So sign up with Dragontours! And spend a great day shopping. We leave the centres at 5:30pm, so literally, a full, fun day.

Benidorm Market Day

During the year we will be doing this great trip every once in a while – the next programmed trip to Benidorm is on May 22nd, 2013, so sign up and get all  ready for summer in this great place. Our coach departs from the Mazarrón area – Port, Bolnuevo, and the various urbanizations (Country Club, Camposol, Condado de Alhama), at approximately 9 am, before the journey to Benidorm. A full day there, with many options. Those of you with kids, or grandkids, can take advantage of Dragontours specially reduced-price tickets for the theme park “Terra Mítica”, and the zoo, “Terra Natura”, to make the day a special one for the young people. We leave Benidorm at 7 pm, so get ready for a fun-packed, full day of Benidorm adventures. Price only 17€ per person. Entrance tickets to the different parks are optional.

Day 1 CAMPOSOL – CUENCA. Early morning departure towards Cuenca, stops en route.  Arrival and continuingon to the natural park of the “Ciudad Encantada” with its beatiful scenary.  Return to the hotel,  dinner and accommodation.

Day 2 CUENCA – CHINCHON – TOLEDO (LAYOS). Breakfast and free time to visit the old quarters of Cuenca which is located at the top of the city and a World Heritage site.  Here you will find numerous narrow streets, hidden plazas, tunnels excavated through the rocks and several view points from where we are reminded of its Arabic and Jewish heritage.  We can also admire the Cathedral built in the Gothic style and the famous “Casas Colgadas“.  Continuing on to Toledo visiting en route Chinchon with its famous Plaza Mayor, Castillian in style and one of the best conserved in Spain.  Free time.  Continuing on to Layos (15 km from Toledo).  Arrival at the hotel, dinner and accommodation.

Day 3 LAYOS – TOLEDO – ÁVILA – SALAMANCA. Breakfast and departure towards Toledo.  Free time to visit the historical city on the banks of the Tajo river where Arabic, Cristian and Jewish cultures converge. Visit the old quarters with its Cathedral, Synagogue and church of Santo Tomé.  Afternoon departure to Avila, arrival and visit of the city and its impressive walls. Day 4  SALAMANCA – SEGOVIA – MADRID. Breakfast and visit of Salamanca with official guide included, with its Plaza Mayor, one of the most beautiful in Spain, its Cathedrals new and old, casas de las Conchas and University with its museum and monumental facade. Day 2
BARCELONA – MONTSERRAT – BARCELONA
Breakfast and visit of Barcelona with official guide included; passing the bustling Plazas de Cataluña and España continuing to Montjuic with its beautiful view of the city, museums, spanish Village and castle. Continuing to the gothic quarter passing the famous statue of Columbus, Cathedral and the sacred family. Continuing to Montserrat, with its Monastery situated in the area of Barcelona and its original mountain range, its Basilica of the Virgin and the museum. Day 3
BARCELONA
Breakfast and free day in Barcelona or optional half day tour of the arquitecual building by Gaudi, famous modernist catalan architect, with the “Parque Güell” situated in the high part of Barcelona with its famous colourful statues, continuing to the sacred family, most important work of Antonio Gaudi and visit the temples with its impresive towers (minimum 30 people). BARCELONA – CAMPOSOL
